The numbers
What the weather here is
Aruba sits at 12.5°N, well south of the usual hurricane track, and in the lee of the South American coast where the trades arrive dry — under 500 mm a year, divi-divi trees permanently bent westward, and an economy that has desalinated its water since 1932. The wind is the most reliable thing about the place.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Aruba comes from Departamento Meteorologico Aruba. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
