What the weather here is
Barbados sits 150 km east of the arc, out in clean Atlantic air, which makes it the region's natural upwind observatory — the Barbados Cloud Observatory at Ragged Point measures air that has crossed nothing at all, and the Saharan dust layer is sampled here before it reaches anywhere else in the hemisphere. Coral rather than volcanic, so it is low, flat and permeable.
