What the weather here is
The highest point in the territory is 43 m, on Cayman Brac, and Grand Cayman barely reaches 18 — so when Ivan crossed in 2004 a quarter of the island went under water. The Caymans sit on the northwest Caribbean track where storms are usually still strengthening, which is the worst combination of exposure and elevation in the basin.
