The numbers
What the weather here is
Geologically the tail of the Bahama chain and climatically drier than it — around 750 mm a year, with salt ponds where the rain used to be an industry. Low limestone throughout, so the exposure is surge and the recent record is Irma and Maria in the same fortnight of September 2017.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Turks and Caicos Islands comes from TCI Department of Disaster Management. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
