The numbers
What the weather here is
Low and limestone rather than volcanic, so the trades pass over without being lifted and the islands run genuinely dry — around 1,000 mm a year, and drought is a routine problem. Barbuda is flatter still, and after Irma crossed it in 2017 the island was evacuated entirely for the first time in three centuries.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Antigua and Barbuda comes from Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
