What the weather here is
Belize keeps its weather in two halves: a dry season from February that the north runs almost arid on, and a wet one from June that drops 4,000 mm in the Toledo District. Hurricane Hattie flattened Belize City in 1961 and the government moved the capital 80 km inland to Belmopan because of it — which is as direct a piece of meteorological town planning as exists anywhere.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Belize comes from National Meteorological Service of Belize. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
