What the weather here is
Haiti is mountainous enough that its name means it, and steep enough that rainfall becomes runoff almost immediately — deforested slopes above dense valleys is the combination that turns a tropical wave into a disaster here. The Gonâve Gulf shelters Port-au-Prince from the trades, which is why the capital is drier than the mountains 20 km behind it.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Haiti comes from Unité Hydrométéorologique d'Haïti. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
