The numbers
What the weather here is
The only Central American country with no Caribbean shore, which means no trade-wind rainfall and a hard seasonal split: nothing at all from November to April, then afternoon convection every day from May. The volcanic cordillera runs the length of it, and the temporal — a slow-moving tropical low that parks for days — does more damage here than most named storms.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for El Salvador comes from MARN — Observatorio de Amenazas. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
