The numbers
What the weather here is
Landlocked and split by its own river: the eastern half is humid, green and where nearly everyone lives, while the Chaco to the west is thorn scrub that regularly records South America's highest temperatures, above 45 °C. Both halves sit under the exit of the South American low-level jet, which is why the storms here rank among the deepest and most electrically active anywhere.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Paraguay comes from DINAC — Dirección de Meteorología. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
