The numbers
What the weather here is
The Sierras de Córdoba sit exactly where the Andean low-level jet meets mid-latitude shear, and the supercells that result there are the most intense on Earth by satellite measures — the 2018 Villa Carlos Paz storm produced a hailstone estimated at 23 cm, the largest ever documented. South of that the country runs 3,500 km to Tierra del Fuego through Patagonian steppe, where the westerly wind is relentless and the Andean rain shadow is near total.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Argentina comes from Servicio Meteorológico Nacional. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
