What the weather here is

Three Andean cordilleras and two oceans, and between them the Chocó — where Pacific moisture is trapped against the western range and Lloró and Quibdó record 10,000 mm and more a year, the highest reliable rainfall totals anywhere. Bogotá at 2,600 m holds 14 °C year-round and has no seasons, only two rainy periods a year, because it sits under the ITCZ twice.

Where the official forecast is

This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Colombia comes from IDEAM. During a tropical cyclone the advisory that everything else follows is the National Hurricane Center's.

What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
